Supporting net zero estate planning through a whole-place carbon assessment of an existing primary school
Undertaking a full carbon assessment of the existing Dargavel Primary School in Bishopton, we worked with Renfrewshire Council to support net zero estate planning.
We used real-world consumption data to calibrate operational performance and evaluated local sequestration, assessing the lifecycle impact of replacing fossil fuel systems with zero emissions alternatives.
The work we did for this project provided robust pathways to achieving net zero for the school estate – and helped to support strategic decision-making on retrofit, energy transition and nature-based interventions.
